Where Strong Athletes Become Strong Leaders
The Athlete Development Difference
Many programs teach teenagers what to do.
Few teach them
how to lead themselves.
At Tennessee Taekwondo, students learn to set meaningful goals, embrace coaching, push through adversity, and take responsibility for their own progress.
They discover that confidence isn't built through participation—it's earned through consistent effort, discipline, and overcoming challenges.
Every class challenges students physically while strengthening the mindset they'll use in school, sports, future careers, and everyday life.
Whether your teen dreams of competing at a high level or simply wants to become more confident, our mission remains the same:
"We don't just build better martial artists. We help develop confident young adults who are prepared for life."
— Coach Dusty

Frequently Asked Questions
See some of our most common questions and answers below, or call us at 615-300-2650
What age can my child start?
We accept students starting at age 5. Our younger classes focus on listening skills, coordination, and following instruction — building the foundation before we ever get into technique.
Do we need any experience or gear to begin?
No experience needed, and we'll get you set up with what you need once you decide to join. Just show up in comfortable clothes for your first class.
What if my child is shy or has never done a sport before?
That's exactly who Taekwondo is built for. Our instructors coach each student individually and build confidence through small, achievable goals — not by throwing kids into the deep end.
Can we try a class before committing?
Yes. We offer a trial so you or your child can experience our coaching style firsthand before deciding if it's the right fit.
The Next Step Is Simple.
We'll answer your questions, explain how classes work, and help you decide if Tennessee Taekwondo is the right fit for your child, teen, or family.
